Starmark joined the Tour de Broward 3K to benefit Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital

Cause | JDCH

For the past six years, cyclists, runners and walkers alike have come out to participate in the Tour de Broward to raise awareness and support the Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital (JDCH). This year, the Starmark Team joined the 2016 Tour de Broward to walk, run and raise awareness for this event, now in its 7th year. To date, the event helped to raise more than $500,000 to support oncology, hematology, and cardiac services at the hospital and will continue to support many other services as it grows.

The experience of joining a cause so close to our hearts and homes was truly rewarding. The team saw expressions of gratitude in parent’s eyes who thanked every participant on behalf of their children. Lotsy Dotsy, Chief of Clown Services at JDCH, rode alongside participants with her contagious vibrancy. And, Frank Sacco gave a thank you speech before retiring the following morning.

In all, we had a great time at the 2016 Tour de Broward and are excited to participate next year! Only 11 months until the 2017 Tour.
