Broward Partnership for the Homeless wanted to raise awareness of its mission in a clear, consistent manner through a new graphical identity. Rather than just emphasizing the obvious problem of homelessness, Starmark recommended shortening their name to Broward Partnership and communicating the organization’s mission in its new tagline.

Starmark creates home page makeover for Give Kids The World

On Jan. 24, ABC’s Good Morning America featured an “Extreme Village Makeover” of more than 100 villas at Give Kids The World. Starmark was tasked with helping convert the sudden attention of the show’s daytime audience into action. The special Extreme Village Makeover home page takeover offers visitors the chance to act right away with achievable next steps that help advance the GKTW mission.

Hosted by Starmark at the agency’s Fort Lauderdale headquarters and sponsored by Publix Super Market Charities, the event drew hundreds of generous donors who bid on more than 200 silent action items from the Waldorf Astoria, Harbor Beach Marriott, Weston Diplomat, Serenity Retreat-Exumas Bahamas, Blue Martini, Capital Grill, W Hotel, Guy Harvey, Greg Norman and much more.

A Child Is Missing

Starmark’s powerful integrated marketing and PR for A Child Is Missing has helped founder Sherry Friedlander take A Child Is Missing from a small effort available only in Broward County to a service that is now free to police everywhere throughout the United States. ACIM is an alert program designed to help rescue missing children, disabled persons and senior citizens living with Alzheimer’s. Because the first few hours are critical in finding a missing child, Starmark took on this client pro bono in order to spread the knowledge about the free national alert program ACIM provides for law enforcement agencies. When a report is called in, 1,000 automated phone calls go out to the community within 60 seconds. A Child Is Missing is currently credited with aiding in 690 safe recoveries. Starmark is proud to be able to say we continue to assist in growing this service in new communities every day.

Boys & Girls Clubs of Broward County

Starmark International has helped the Boys & Girls Clubs get the message to our South Florida audiences that 91% of our members graduate from high school and 62% go onto college.  This is heads and shoulders above the general graduation rate in the public school systems. Additionally, when a Boys & Girls Club is established in a neighborhood, youth crime has been proven to decline as much as 43%.  A Starmark distributed PSA program called “I Am Somebody!” garnered hundreds of showings and drove viewers on local cable stations to the Boys & Girls of Browrd County website which has been designed and hosted pro bono by Starmark for the organization for the last five years.
