Starmark CEO to Give Talk to Aspiring Entrepreneurs

Starmark co-founder and CEO Peggy Nordeen will offer insight, tips and BIG IDEAS to business owners at “Expand Your Business to the Next Level,” a seminar sponsored by the South Florida Business Journal.

Nordeen is one of four speakers and will give the talk “Marketing Plans Designed to Drive Revenue.” The June 14 event begins at 7:30 a.m. and Nordeen speaks at 10:30 a.m.

A 34-year-old company, Starmark was the first privately held company to be named five times in a row to the Inc 500 ranking of fastest growing companies and only one of three companies in the U.S. to be on the list seven times. Peggy authors the “Competitive Edge” column for the South Florida Business Journal. She was also named South Florida Business Journal’s 2006 Business Woman of the Year/Entrepreneur and Broward’s 2009 Diamond CEO Award. In 2011, she accepted the first Florida International University Outstanding Social Responsibility award, recognizing Starmark’s corporate citizenship in the State of Florida. She is immediate past chair of the Greater Fort Lauderdale Alliance and serves on the boards of the Broward Workshop, Boys & Girls Clubs, the Tower Club and A Child Is Missing.
