Starmark creative work wins two U.S. Travel Association Awards

Starmark took home two U.S. Travel Association “Destiny Awards” during the 2016 ESTO conference in Boca Raton, Florida. In partnership with Greater Fort Lauderdale Convention & Visitors Bureau (GFLCVB), Starmark took home the “Destiny Award” for the Live Bus Shelter Activation in the Short-Term Marketing Campaign category and the Hello Sunny Millennial Campaign in the Branded & Integrated Marketing Campaign category.

The Live Bus Shelter Activation was a first-of-its-kind interactive, live broadcast activation in which Starmark helped GFLCVB warm up Boston and Chicago commuters by transforming bus shelters into “Hello Sunny” cabanas complete with heat lamps, custom benches that mimicked the iconic Fort Lauderdale Wave Wall and a digital monitor that beamed in the beach via live satellite broadcasts.

The Hello Sunny Millennial campaign has helped Greater Fort Lauderdale begin to build life-long relationships with this new new audience. Based on research findings, Starmark helped GFLCVB introduced the Hello Sunny brand to Millennials in a way that resonates strongly with them. Starmark created :15 videos, digital banner ads, Facebook ads and radio spots that showcase Millennials enjoying the destination in ways they can relate to — from bonfires on the beach, to Sunday dockside brunches to horseback riding and mountain biking through the parks.
