Facebook Enhancements: A picture is worth 1,000 likes
Facebook continues to enhance its platform and update the way users interact with brands. One recent upgrade is called Rich Stories, which is changing the look of users’ news feeds. For marketers, the directive is clear: Get visual!
Rich Stories will put a premium on pictures, as images will be displayed much larger. (Videos will also display larger.) Cover images will be included in Page Posts, and will no longer be limited by the 20 percent rule. The photos featured in feed ads will also be displayed bigger.
With the expanded Facebook emphasis on images, brands should take the time now to update their photo library. More than ever, brands need to consistently post compelling and creative images on their Facebook page to capture their audience’s attention and boost engagement.
