Starmark Goes Mobile Goes Mobile

February 8, 2012

Starmark announces the launch of the new mobile website for the Greater Fort Lauderdale Convention & Visitors Bureau. This mobile site is designed to work on all mobile devices at “It’s like an interactive guidebook in real time that fits in your pocket, says Brett Circe, Starmark chief interactive officer. “The site really pushes the limits of mobile technology.”

Just some of the features include the ability to filter searches, a global mapping function and the use of retina display quality graphics for iPhone 4 users.

The global mapping function always lets you know what’s nearby from lodging, to dining to activities and transportation. “While You’re Here” also offers Foursquare tips and tells you where to find nearby free Wi-Fi hotspots.

Can’t figure out what to do? Check out the calendar of events or go to the “Plan My Day” function and the site will propose a random itinerary for morning, afternoon and night. Have a couple of hours to kill pre- or post-cruise? Go to “Cruise Travelers” and you’ll receive a list of 10 things to do in less that four hours. Meanwhile, throughout your navigation, “deals” for hotels, restaurants and attractions are highlighted by a bright orange indicator.
